Lord, take my desires

You may have seen this statement floating around Facebook, “I’ve realized that I like to go to non-essential places and do non- essential things.”

Just because something is Non-essential doesn’t mean it’s not important.

For example, Walking in the beach. Accompanying a friend to the doctor. Visiting a neighbor. Attending a graduation ceremony, just to name a few.

What about these desires, Lord?

It is difficult when our world changes and with little warning, things that we held so dear to our hearts are temporarily suspended or cancelled.

What do we do?
Being sad, is acceptable.
Grieving, is acceptable.
Turning our desires over to God, is a necessity.

God’s word can be trusted, he will give us the desires of our heart. He knows our hearts better than we do, can you trust Him to care for your hearts desires, if we turn them over to Him.

Write out your desires, give them to God and watch Him work.
