Reopening of ECC - Offering

Reopening of ECC - What to Expect
Beginning May 28 and continuing through June 6, we’ve been posting more detailed information about some of the expected changes and procedures regarding the reopening of the ECC campus.  The full “Top Ten” list is available on our website and app, and it will also be listed in The Echoes which you should receive later this week, but for now, we’ll post something each day to help introduce some of those new changes.

8. Offering
Like communion, we previously passed offering plates that involved many hands making contact with the same surfaces.  As mentioned before, these practices cannot happen if we hope to maintain a safe and clean worship environment.

Online giving will be strongly encouraged, but you still can bring your envelopes and gifts on Sundays and submit them in person.  Since we will no longer be passing offering trays, you will need to look for one of our four clearly marked collection boxes. They will be located by all the back doors as you enter the worship center, with an additional box located at the hospitality desk in the lobby.

For security and counting purposes, these boxes will be emptied often with a final collection at the conclusion of the worship time during the 10:45am service. Any offerings placed in the box after this time will be counted in the following week’s total.

You can also bring your offering envelope by the church office during the week or even mail it in as some of you have been faithfully doing.  Any offering envelopes that arrive during the week will be added to the giving total for the next Sunday.

Remember, if you use online giving, please be sure to make to separate transactions if you intend to give to our general fund AND our Faith Promise commitments.  Please follow the instructions in the secure giving platform that can be found through our ECC app or the website ( ).

So many of you have be extremely faithful during these circumstances in your giving to the church and your worship to God. Thank you for your efforts in all of this, whether it be learning how to use online giving, dropping it in the mail each week or making the weekly trip to the church office to drop off your offering in person.  May the Lord bless you with more than you deserve because of your faithfulness to Him.

If you have any other questions, please send them to and we will get back to you within the next business day.
