Family Day at North Florida Christian Camp
Saturday, May 9
The camp season at North Florida Christian Camp will begin
in June! Each year the camp hosts an event called Family Day for those who
might be interested in visiting the camp before deciding whether or not to go
or to send their children. Family Day at NFCC will be on Saturday, May 9, and
Serena Maerkl will be taking a van to the camp for those interested in going.
The van will leave from the Barnes Road parking lot at 9:00 a.m., and it will
return at 2:00 p.m. This free event will include swimming, archery, canoeing,
lunch, and a look all around the camp. Please contact the church office or
Serena Maerkl to join the group going, and go and see what NFCC has to offer
Back to the Cross presented by Jesus’ Musical Kids (Wee Praise and the Music Makers will also be singing.)
Sunday, May 10, 5:30 p.m.
Travel through time with Norman, Finn, Ava, and her cynical friend Morgan who are part of a VBS group in the C. W. Worthington Park. Jumping through time to random years, they always arrive back at the same park. They realize how the choices that are made in one generation greatly affect the lives of those in the future. The adventurers are awestruck to step into the Garden of Gethsemane to see a kneeling Jesus deep in prayer. All are changed by their travels and their encounters with the cross where the problems of the world fade away.
